Beshear PAC announces first endorsements

List includes candidates running for federal, statewide and Kentucky offices

Via press release

This morning, Governor Andy Beshear’s PAC, In This Together, released its first round of endorsements:

  • U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown
  • U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen
  • U.S. Senator Jon Tester
  • North Carolina AG and gubernatorial candidate Josh Stein
  • Judge Pamela Goodwine, candidate for Kentucky Supreme Court

“We created In This Together because the anger politics increasingly dominating our country represent a threat to the health of our democracy; we need more leaders who reject divisiveness and who aren’t afraid to stick to the values of empathy, decency and compassion,” said Andy Beshear. “I’ve had the opportunity to get to know and work with each of these candidates, and first and foremost they are good people. Each of them are running in competitive, consequential elections in red or purple states. But despite the challenging environments they face, I know each of these candidates will always do what they think is right, for all of our people. We need more of that in this country, and I’m proud to do what I can to support them.”

In This Together will be making financial contributions to these candidates. More endorsements will follow in the coming months. As a note, Gov. Beshear’s endorsements for Kentucky legislative and other local candidates will come from the Kentucky Democratic Party.

Background

In November 2023, Governor Andy Beshear won re-election in deep-red Kentucky by running on decency, empathy, and compassion – against Mitch McConnell's protégé and millions of dollars in false attacks from five different Super PACs. The Republicans ran nasty, mean-spirited ads designed to divide Kentuckians and pit neighbors against neighbors. At every turn, Andy Beshear stood his ground, didn’t waver in his beliefs, and did the right thing, because he knows we’re all in this together.

The people of Kentucky rewarded him with another term, rejecting the anger politics that have come to dominate our country. And now, Kentuckians will have four more years of leadership from a governor who cares about them and always puts them first.
