Multiple organizations host interfaith gathering in Louisville on Friday

From the invitation: “As we seek to care for ourselves and our loved ones, we must support each other.”

A group of organizations and individuals, led by the Center for Interfaith Relations, are hosting a community-healing event this Friday afternoon at the Cathedral of the Assumption in downtown Louisville.

Entitled “Broken Hearts, Anxious Minds,” the gathering includes a time for reflection, followed by remarks by a number of local leaders. Included in those speaking are Archbishop Shelton J. Fabre, Mayor Craig Greenberg, Rachel Greenberg, Christina Lee Brown, Owsley Brown III, and the board of directors of the Center for Interfaith Relations.

The email announcing the event begins:

As Dr. Jason Smith, the Chief Medical Officer of the University of Louisville, has so appropriately expressed: “We are weary.” As we seek to care for ourselves and our loved ones, we must support each other.

The event lasts from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and is open to the public. You can RSVP at this link.
