Nancy writes: “We had a moderate turnout, probably close to 100 people, in the rain for part of the time. There were 5 speakers:

  • Ned Pillersdorf, attorney from Prestonsburg, well- known for his representation of the victims of Eric Conn's Social Security fraud scheme
  • Lincoln Caudill, Rowan County Democratic Executive Committee Chairperson and City Councilman
  • Ivy Litton, Rowan County High School senior and policy coordinator for the KY Student Voice Team
  • Cameron Jenkins, MSU junior and student organizer for Campus Workers Union
  • Thomas Carew, formerly with Frontier Housing, FAHE, and state director of USDA

They focused their remarks on the effects of the Trump/Musk administration's undemocratic edicts on the local community.
