These are photos from the May 3rd Pro-Democracy Rally in Morehead, send in by Nancy Henly.
Nancy writes: “We had a moderate turnout, probably close to 100 people, in the rain for part of the time. There were 5 speakers:
- Ned Pillersdorf, attorney from Prestonsburg, well- known for his representation of the victims of Eric Conn's Social Security fraud scheme
- Lincoln Caudill, Rowan County Democratic Executive Committee Chairperson and City Councilman
- Ivy Litton, Rowan County High School senior and policy coordinator for the KY Student Voice Team
- Cameron Jenkins, MSU junior and student organizer for Campus Workers Union
- Thomas Carew, formerly with Frontier Housing, FAHE, and state director of USDA
They focused their remarks on the effects of the Trump/Musk administration's undemocratic edicts on the local community.
