A group called the 50501 Movement is organizing rallies across the country on Wednesday, February 5th, to protest Project 2025 and the “anti-democratic, destructive, and, in many cases, illegal actions being undertaken by the Trump administration.”
The 50501 in the name stands for “50 states. 50 protests. 1 day.” They describe themselves as a “decentralized, self-organizing community action event to gather peacefully at your state’s capitol.”

The group has a web site, but it’s pretty sparse. They are very active, however, on Reddit, BlueSky, and Instagram.
Editor’s Note: As has been pointed out by others, we do NOT know much about the people organizing these rallies and marches. They have said they are intentionally keeping their identities relatively private due to the current climate in our nation. I get that. All the same, if you go and your spidey-sense tells you things are “off,” take your leave.
Also, and most important – they have emphasized repeatedly that these are supposed to be non-violent. Do not instigate, and do not be instigated. (Remember, the opposition would love nothing more than to see one of these turn into a mob scene.)
